LG Display Co Ltd were incorporated in 1985 under the laws of the Republic of Korea under the original name of LG Soft, Ltd. The Company thin-film transistor liquid crystal display, or TFT-LCD, technology and other display panel technologies, including OLED technology. The Company manufactures display panels in a range of sizes and specifications for use in televisions, notebook computers, desktop monitors, tablet computers and various other applications, including mobile devices. It also manufacture TFT-LCD panels for industrial and other applications, including entertainment systems, automotive displays, portable navigation devices and medical diagnostic equipment. It operates a total of thirteen panel fabrication facilities, including expansions to certain facilities, located in its Display Clusters in Gumi and Paju, Korea.
