Macatawa Bank Corp was incorporated in 1997. The Company's business is concentrated in a single industry segment - commercial banking. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Macatawa Bank, it offer a full range of commercial and personal banking services, including checking, savings and certificates of deposit accounts, cash management, safe deposit boxes, trust services and commercial, mortgage and consumer loans through its twenty-six branch offices and a lending and operation service facility in Ottawa County, Kent County and northern Allegan County, Michigan. Other services it offers include ATMs, internet banking, telephone banking and debit cards. The Bank provides various brokerage services, including discount brokerage through Infinex, personal financial planning and consultation regarding mutual funds. Its lending activities includes, commercial and industrial loans; commercial real estate loans; construction and development loans; multi-family and other non-residential real estate loans; retail loans; residential mortgage loans.; and consumer loans. It offers various deposit services including, checking accounts, savings accounts and time deposits of various types. It solicits deposit services from individuals, businesses, associations, churches, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions and government authorities. Deposits are gathered mainly from the communities it serves through its network of 26 branches. It offers business and consumer checking accounts, regular and money market savings accounts, and certificates of deposit with many term options. It also face competition from finance companies, insurance companies, mortgage companies, securities brokerage firms, money market funds and other providers of financial services. The Bank is subject to regulation by the Federal Reserve, the FDIC and OFIR, in addition to other regulatory and self-regulatory organizations.
