Marchex Inc was incorporated in the state of Delaware on January 17, 2003. It is a mobile and call advertising technology company. The Companys technology platform delivers performance-based, pay-for-call advertising across numerous of mobile and online publishers to connect millions of high-intent consumers with businesses over the phone. It is a mobile and online advertising company that drives consumers to connect with businesses over the phone, delivers quality phone calls, and provides in-depth analysis of those phone calls. Through its robust platforms, the Company offers three components for businesses looking to acquire new customers through phone calls. Marchex Call Analytics offers ad campaign measurement and intelligence, and its Digital Call Marketplace and Local Leads solutions are designed for advertisers focused on new customer acquisition. Its products and services include: digital call-based advertising, pay-per-click advertising, and its proprietary web site traffic sources. In addition, it provides performance marketing solutions, including private-label products for small businesses, to a network of large reseller partners including Yellow Pages publishers, media, telecommunications companies and vertical marketing service providers. The Company delivers call and click-based advertising products and services to tens of thousands of advertisers, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Its technology-based products and services facilitate the efficient and cost-effective marketing and selling of goods and services for national advertisers and small businesses who want to market and sell their products through call-ready media including mobile, online and offline sources; and a proprietary, locally-focused web site network where it helps consumers find local information, as well as fulfill its advertiser marketing campaigns. Its primary products are Digital Call Marketplace, Local Leads, Pay-Per-Click Advertising, and Proprietary Web Site Traffic. The Company markets its products through Direct Sales, Reseller Partnerships, Online Acquisitions and Referral Agreements. The Company competes with a variety of companies including Google, IAC/InterActiveCorp, Microsoft, Yahoo! and ReachLocal. Its Archeo Domain Marketplace competitors include Demand Media, Name Media and Oversee.net.
