The Company has a chain of 1,029 Company-operated stores, 135 franchised location and 14 dealer-operated automotive repair centers. The Company operated Company stores in 25 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. The Company provides services on passenger cars, light trucks and vans for brakes; mufflers and exhaust systems; steering, drive train, suspension and wheel alignment. It also provides other products and services including tires and routine maintenance services including state inspections. The Company competes in the retail automotive service and tire industry. The Company is subject to a number of federal, state and local environmental laws including the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act.
