Monster Worldwide Inc provides online employment solution company. The Company offers customized solutions and advanced technologies across a variety of public and private sectors.

Monster Worldwide Inc was incorporated in Delaware and became a public company in 1996. Its predecessor business was founded in 1967. The Company provides global online employment solution, inspiring people to improve its lives, with a presence in approximately 55 countries around the world. It has been able to build on Monster's brand and create worldwide awareness by offering online recruiting solutions that are redefining the way employers and job seekers connect. For employers, its goal is to provide the effective solutions and easiest to use technology to simplify the hiring process and deliver access to the Company's community of job seekers. For job seekers, its purpose is to help improve its careers by providing work-related content, services and advice. The Company's services and solutions include searchable job postings, a resume database, recruitment media solutions throughout its network and other career related content. Users could search the Company's job postings and post resumes for free on each of its career websites. Employers pay to post jobs, search the resume database and access other career related services. The Company has continuing operations that consist of three segments: Careers - North America, Careers - International and Internet Advertising & Fees. The Careers segments provide online services to customers in a variety of industries throughout North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, while Internet Advertising & Fees delivers online services mainly in North America. The Company's sales resources consist of field sales, telesales, and a self service eCommerce channel. Its sales activities are geared toward large, medium and small companies as well as government agencies, advertising agencies and educational institutions. Its customers are comprised of individuals, small and medium-sized organizations, enterprise organizations, federal, state and local government agencies and educational institutions. The Company faces competition from a number of sources include other employment-related websites, general classified advertising websites, professional networking and social networking websites, traditional media companies, Internet portals, search engines and general-interest websites such as blogs.
