MYR Group Inc provides specialty electrical construction services. It offers design, engineering, procurement, construction, upgrade, maintenance and repair services.

MYR Group Inc is a Delaware corporation formed in 1995. The Company is a holding company of specialty electrical construction service providers. Its operations are currently conducted by six operating subsidiaries: The L. E. Myers Co.; Harlan Electric Company; Hawkeye Construction, Inc.; Great Southwestern Construction, Inc.; Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. and MYR Transmission Services, Inc. Through its operating subsidiaries, the Company provides electrical construction services with a network of local offices located throughout the continental United States. It provides services which include design, engineering, procurement, construction, upgrade, maintenance, and repair services with a particular focus on construction, maintenance and repair. The Company operates through two industry segments: Transmission and Distribution ("T&D") and Commercial and Industrial ("C&I") electrical contracting services. Its T&D customers include investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, cooperatives, private developers, federally-owned utilities, independent power producers, independent transmission companies, industrial facility owners and other contractors. Its C&I customer base includes general contractors, commercial and industrial facility owners, local governments and developers in its regional markets. The T&D segment competes with companies including Asplundh Construction Corp., Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc., Henkels & McCoy, Inc., MasTec, Inc., MDU Resources Group, Inc., Pike Electric Corporation, Power Line Services, Inc., Quanta Services, Inc. and Willbros Group, Inc. The C&I segment competes with a number of regional or small local firms and subsidiaries of larger national firms.
