Its products are designed to transform how people connect, communicate, and collaborate. The products are utilized at enterprise businesses, public institutions, telecommunications companies and other service providers, commercial businesses, and personal residences. The Company's business is organized into the following three geographic segments: The Americas; Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA); and Asia Pacific, Japan, and China (APJC). The Company's products and technologies are grouped into categories including: Switching; Next-Generation Network (NGN) Routing; Service Provider Video; Collaboration; Data Center; Wireless; Security; and Other Products. The product Switching is a networking technology used in campuses, branch offices, and data centers; and is used within buildings in local-area networks (LANs) and across great distances in wide-area networks (WANs). It offers forms of connectivity to end users, workstations, IP phones, wireless access points, and servers and also functions as aggregators on LANs and WANs. The NGN Routing technology is fundamental to the foundation of the Internet; it interconnects public and private wireline and mobile networks for mobile, data, voice, and video applications. Its portfolio of hardware and software solutions consists of physical and virtual routers and routing systems. The Service Provider Video is an end-to-end; digital video distribution systems and digital interactive set-top boxes enable service providers and content originators to deliver entertainment, information, and communication services to consumers and businesses around the world. The Collaboration portfolio integrates voice, video, data, and mobile applications on fixed and mobile networks across devices and related IT equipment referred as endpoints used to access networks including mobile phones, tablets, desktop and laptop computers, and desktop virtualization clients.
