Business Description

NextEra Energy, Inc. was incorporated in 1984 under the laws of Florida. It a holding company incorporated under the laws of Florida, is one of the nation's largest providers of electricity-related services. It has two main operating subsidiaries, Florida Power & Light Company and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, or 'NextEra Energy Resources.' Florida Power & Light Company is a rate-regulated utility that is engaged mainly in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy and that serves customers throughout most of the east and lower west coasts of Florida.
