National Grid PLC is engaged in transmission and distribution of electricity and gas. Its segment includes UK Transmission, UK Gas Distribution, and U.S. Regulated.

National Grid PLC was incorporated on July 11, 2000. The Company is engaged in the transmission and distribution of electricity and gas in Great Britain and northeastern U.S. Its segment includes UK Electricity Transmission, UK Gas Distribution, and US Regulated. The UK Transmission segment is divided into two new segments UK Electricity Transmission and UK Gas Transmission. The UK Electricity Transmission includes High voltage electricity transmission networks in Great Britain. The UK Gas Transmission includes The gas transmission network in Great Britain and UK LNG storage activities. The UK Gas Distribution includes Four of the eight regional networks of Great Britain's gas distribution system. The US Regulated includes Gas distribution networks, electricity distribution networks and high voltage electricity transmission networks in New York and New England and electricity generation facilities in New York and Massachusetts. The Company has operations in the United Kingdom and USA.
