NGL Energy Partners LP purchases propane, butane, and other natural gas liquids from refiners, processing plants, producers, and other parties, and sells the product to retailers, refiners, and other participants in the wholesale markets.

NGL Energy Partners LP is a Delaware limited partnership formed on September 8, 2010. The Company supplies natural gas liquids to retailers, wholesalers, refiners, and petrochemical plants throughout the United States and in Canada, and which provides natural gas liquids terminaling services. Its segments include crude oil logistics segment, water solutions segment, liquids segment, retail propane segment, and refined products and renewables segment. The crude oil logistics segment purchases crude oil from producers and transports it for resale at owned and leased pipeline injection stations, storage terminals, barge loading facilities, rail facilities, refineries, and other trade hubs. Its operations are centered near areas of high crude oil production, such as the Bakken shale play in North Dakota, the DJ Basin in Colorado, the Mississippi Lime shale play in Oklahoma, the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico, the Eagle Ford shale play in Texas, the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma and Texas, and southern Louisiana at the Gulf of Mexico. The water solutions segment generates revenues from the treatment and disposal of wastewater generated from crude oil and natural gas production, from the sale of recycled water and recovered hydrocarbons, and from the disposal of solids such as tank bottoms and drilling fluids. Its facilities are located near areas of high crude oil and natural gas production, including the Permian Basin in Texas, the DJ Basin in Colorado, the Eagle Ford shale play in Texas, the Bakken shale play in North Dakota, and the Pinedale Anticline in Wyoming. The liquids segment is engaged in supplying natural gas liquids to retailers, wholesalers, refiners, and petrochemical plants throughout the United States and in Canada, and provides natural gas liquids terminaling services through 21 owned terminals throughout the United States and railcar transportation services through its fleet of leased railcars. The liquids segment purchases propane, butane, and other products from refiners, processing plants, producers, and other parties, and sells the products to retailers, refiners, petrochemical plants, and other participants in the wholesale markets. The retail propane segment sells propane, distillates, and equipment and supplies to end users consisting of residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers and to certain resellers in 25 states and the District of Columbia. The refined products and renewables segment conducts gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and biodiesel marketing operations. It provides integrated terminal, transportation, storage, supply, distribution, and marketing services to refiners, wholesalers, distributors, marketers, and industrial and commercial end users of refined petroleum products. Its operations are subject to stringent and complex federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to the protection of the environment.
