Its assets are externally managed by its Investment Adviser. The Company's investment objective is to generate current income and capital appreciation through investments in debt securities at all levels of the capital structure, including first and second lien debt, unsecured notes and mezzanine securities. The Company competes for investments with a number of BDCs and investment funds (including private equity and hedge funds), as well as traditional financial services companies such as commercial banks and other sources of financing.
