Nutrisystem Inc provides weight management products and services, including nutritionally balanced weight loss programs, multi-day kits available at select retail locations and digital tools to support weight loss.

NutriSystem Inc is a provider of structured home-delivered weight loss meal plans featuring low-calorie, portion-controlled and nutritionally balanced items. Its provide its customers monthly food packages containing a 28-day supply of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and desserts, which they supplement with fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy. Many customers order on an auto-delivery basis (Auto-Delivery), in which they send a 28-day food supply on an ongoing basis until notified by the customer to stop its shipments. The Company offers personalized plans where customers can hand pick their entire menu or go with its pre-selected favorites food pack. Its meal plans feature more than 150 menu options at different price points including frozen and ready-to-go entrees, desserts, snacks and shakes. Additionally, the Company offer complimentary, optional counseling from trained weight loss counselors, registered dietitians and certified diabetes educators and provide further support through its online community and tools. The Company's program is portioned for weight loss and offers a balance of carbohydrate, protein and fat that meets national dietary guidelines. They also offer transition and maintenance plans, which include support tools and desired menu options that customers wish to continue to receive from Nutrisystem. These plans are designed to help its customers keep the weight off. The Company's peers and competitors include, Atkins Nutritionals, Inc., eDiets.com, Jenny Craig, Medifast, Inc. and Weight Watchers International, Inc. The Company's online weight management tools are available to its customers. These tools include the interactive Mindset Makeover guide, a behavior modification program that is offered to its customers free of charge. Its Nutrisystem program consists of over 150 portion-controlled items that serve as the foundation of a low Glycemic Index diet. The Company also offer complementary counseling services for its customers. The Company's business is subject to federal, state and other governmental regulation.
