The Company is a global semiconductor company and a long-standing supplier in the industry. It provides High-Performance Mixed-Signal and Standard Product solutions that leverage its expertise in RF, analog, power management, interface, security and digital processing products. Its product solutions are used in a wide range of automotive, identification, wireless infrastructure, lighting, industrial, mobile, consumer and computing applications. The Company operates in more than 25 countries with research and development activities in Asia, Europe and the United States, and manufacturing facilities in Asia and Europe. The Company is focused on developing High-Performance Mixed-Signal solutions for automotive, identification, wireless infrastructure, lighting, industrial, mobile, consumer and computing. Its Standard Products business supplies standard semiconductor components, such as small signal discrete, power discrete and integrated discrete, and mobile device speakers and receivers. The Company also sells CAN tuners through its joint venture NuTune and software solutions for mobile phones through its "NXP Software" business. The Company competes with ROHM Co., Ltd., Maxim Integrated Products, Inc., MaxLinear, Inc., Microtune Inc., National Semiconductor, Samsung, Silicon Laboratories Inc., STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments Incorporated. The Company is subject to many environmental, health and safety laws and regulations.
