ONEOK Partners, L.P. is a publicly traded Delaware master limited partnership that was formed in 1993. The Company is engaged in the gathering, processing, storage and transportation of natural gas in the United States. In addition, it owns a natural gas liquids system, connecting NGL supply in the Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions with key market centers. The Company's operations are divided into three business segments: Natural Gas Gathering and Processing, Natural Gas Pipelines, Natural Gas Liquids. It's Natural Gas Gathering and Processing segment's operations include gathering and processing of natural gas produced from crude oil and natural gas wells. It gathers and processes natural gas in the Mid-Continent region, which includes the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma and the Hugoton and Central Kansas Uplift Basins of Kansas. It also gathers and processes natural gas in two producing basins in the Rocky Mountain region: the Williston Basin, which spans portions of Montana and North Dakota, and the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. The Company's natural gas processing operations utilize straddle and field gas processing plants to extract NGLs and remove water vapor and other contaminants from the unprocessed natural gas stream. It owns underground natural gas storage facilities in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Its transportation contracts for its regulated natural gas activities are based upon rates stated in its tariffs. Its natural gas liquids assets consist of facilities that gather, fractionate and treat NGLs and store NGL products mainly in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. It owns FERC-regulated natural gas liquids gathering and distribution pipelines in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Wyoming and Colorado, and terminal and storage facilities in Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. It also owns FERC-regulated natural gas liquids distribution and refined petroleum products pipelines in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana that connect its Mid-Continent assets with Midwest markets, including Chicago, Illinois. The majority of the pipeline-connected natural gas processing plants in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Texas panhandle, which extract NGLs from unprocessed natural gas, are connected to its gathering systems. The Company's operations are subject to all of the risks and hazards typically associated with the operation of natural gas and natural gas liquids gathering and transportation pipelines, storage facilities, and processing and fractionation plants. The Company's natural gas pipelines and storage facilities compete directly with other intrastate and interstate pipeline companies and other storage facilities in providing natural gas transportation and storage services. The Company's interstate natural gas pipelines are regulated under the Natural Gas Act and Natural Gas Policy Act, which give the FERC jurisdiction to regulate virtually all aspects of this business segment, such as transportation of natural gas, rat
