Southwest Bancorp Inc was incorporated in 1981. The Bank is a financial holding company for banking subsidiary Bank SNB, National Association, Bank SNB. The Bank through its subsidiaries provides commercial and consumer banking services including commercial and consumer lending, deposit and investment services, specialized cash management, and other financial services and products. It also provides services to the financial needs of healthcare and health professionals, commercial real estate borrowers, businesses and their managers and owners, commercial lending, and energy banking. The commercial lending services include commercial real estate loans, working capital loans, construction loans, loans to small businesses, loans for equipment and general business expansion, loans to energy companies based on proved producing reserves and loans to healthcare providers, business, and related concerns. Consumer lending services include residential real estate loans and mortgage banking services, personal lines of credit, automobile loans, and other installment loans. The Bank also offers deposits and personal banking services including commercial deposit services, commercial checking, money market, other deposit accounts, and retail deposit services such as certificates of deposit, money market accounts, checking accounts, NOW accounts, savings accounts, and automatic teller machine access. Bank SNB offers personal brokerage services through a relationship with an independent institution. The Bank has developed Bank SNB DirectBanker, an internet banking services for consumer and commercial customers. It has developed Bank SNB Digital Lockbox, an automated lockbox, document imaging, and information service for commercial customers and deposit products that sweeps excess funds from commercial demand deposit accounts and invest them in interest bearing funds. The Bank's business operations are conducted through five operating segments: Oklahoma Banking, Texas Banking, Kansas Banking, Mortgage Banking and Other Operations segment that includes funds management and corporate investments. The Bank, with Bank SNB, has 23 banking offices located on the I-35 corridor through Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. For deposits, the Bank competes with other financial institutions, including other national banks, state banks, federal savings banks, and credit unions. In addition, the Bank also faces competition for its depositors' funds from U.S. Government securities, private issuers of debt obligations, and suppliers of other investment alternatives for depositors, such as securities firms. In lending activities, the Bank also competes with other financial institutions such as securities firms, insurance companies, credit unions, small loan companies, finance companies, mortgage companies, real estate investment trusts, and other sources of funds. For loans, deposits, and other services the Texas and Kansas divisions competes against local and nationally
