OmniTek Engineering Corp, a California Corporation, began operations on October 10, 2001, and was a spin-off from Nology Engineering, Inc., a manufacturer in the automotive aftermarket parts industry and the developer/manufacturer of the patented HotWires spark plug wires. The Company develops and sells proprietary diesel-to-natural gas engine conversion systems and complementary products, including new natural gas engines. The Company's products are available for both stationary applications and transportation industry, including light commercial vehicles, minibuses, heavy-duty trucks, municipal buses as well as rail and marine applications. The Company sells three main products at this time; a conversion kit for converting rich-burn natural gas engines to lean-burn; a conversion kit for converting diesel engines to run on natural gas; and new complete natural gas engines. The Company provides conversion kits which convert rich burning natural gas engines to lean burning natural gas engines. The Company provides a solution to convert any diesel engine to operate on natural gas. In addition to the conversion kits, the Company also sells the individual component replacement parts for the conversion kits. The Company encounters competing products in countries where no emission standards are enforced, and where carbureted systems are still being used, such as China, India, Bangladesh, Peru, to name a few. In the United States the installation and sale of its conversion systems for on-road and off-road applications is subject to regulations imposed by the EPA, as well as certain state agencies such as CARB, with regard to the sale and installation within California.
