Old Point Financial Corp was incorporated under the laws of Virginia on February 16, 1984. It is a holding company that conducts all of its operations through its two subsidiaries: The Old Point National Bank of Phoebus the "Bank" and Old Point Trust and Financial Services, N.A. the "Trust". The Bank is a national banking association that was founded in 1922. The Bank offers a complete line of consumer, mortgage and business banking services, including loan, deposit, and cash management services to individual and business customers. Trust offers a range of services for individuals and businesses. Its products and services include retirement planning, estate planning, financial planning, estate and trust administration, retirement plan administration, tax services and investment management services. The Company's market area is located in Hampton Roads, situated in the southeastern corner of Virginia and boasting the world's largest natural deepwater harbor. The Company is subject to regulation by federal, state and local governmental authorities and is subject to various laws and judicial and administrative decisions imposing requirements and restrictions on part or all of operations, including those referenced above.
