Patrick Industries Inc was founded in 1959 and incorporated in Indiana in 1961. It is a manufacturer of component products and distributor of building products and materials to the recreational vehicle and manufactured housing industries. In addition, it is a supplier to certain other industrial markets, such as kitchen cabinet, household furniture, retail fixtures and commercial furnishings, marine, and other industrial markets. Company operates in two business segments: Manufacturing and Distribution. The Company's significant manufacturing division is lamination, which utilizes various materials, such as lauan, MDF, gypsum, and particleboard, which are bonded by adhesives or a heating process to a number of products, including vinyl, paper, foil, and high-pressure laminates. These products are utilized to produce furniture, shelving, wall, counter, and cabinet products with a wide variety of finishes and textures. This segment also includes a cabinet door division, the recently acquired fiberglass bath fixtures division, a hardwood furniture division, a vinyl printing division, a solid surface, granite, and quartz fabrication operation, and an exterior graphics division. Its manufactured products also include wrapped vinyl, paper and hardwood profile mouldings, interior passage doors, and slotwall panels and components. The Company distributes pre-finished wall and ceiling panels, drywall and drywall finishing products, electronics, wiring, electrical and plumbing products, cement siding, interior passage doors, roofing products, laminate and ceramic flooring, shower doors, furniture, fireplaces and surrounds, interior and exterior lighting products, and other miscellaneous products. The Company has a nationwide network of manufacturing and distribution centers for its products, thereby reducing in-transit delivery time and cost to the regional manufacturing plants of its customers. The Company's operations are subject to certain federal, state and local regulatory requirements relating to the use, storage, discharge and disposal of hazardous chemicals used during their manufacturing processes.
