PCTEL, Inc., was incorporated in California in 1994 and reincorporated in Delaware in 1998. The Company provides propagation and optimization solutions for the wireless industry. It designs and develops softwar-based radios for wireless network optimization and develops and distributes innovative antenna solutions. It designs, distributes, and supports innovative antenna solutions for public safety applications, unlicensed and licensed wireless broadband, fleet management, network timing, and other global positioning systems applications. The Company has licensed its intellectual property, principally related to a discontinued modem business, to semiconductor, PC manufacturers, modem suppliers, and others. It's portfolio of scanning receivers and interference management solutions are used to measure, monitor and optimize cellular networks. Its MAXRAD, Bluewave and Wi-Sys antenna solutions include high-value YAGI, land mobile radio ('LMR'), Wi-Fi, GPS, In Tunnel, Subway, and Broadband antennas (parabolic and flat panel). Its Connected Solutions products include specialized towers, enclosures, fiber optic panels, and fiber jumper cables that are engineered into site solutions. The vertical markets into which the antenna and site solutions are sold include supervisory control and data acquisition ('SCADA'), healthcare, energy, smart grid, precision agriculture, indoor wireless, telemetry, offloading, and wireless backhaul. Its SeeGull scanning receivers, receiver-based products and CLARIFY interference management solutions are used to measure, monitor and optimize cellular networks. Its network engineering services ('NES') Group provides value-added analysis of measured data collected during the optimization process. The Company supply its products to public and private carriers, wireless infrastructure providers, wireless equipment distributors, value added resellers ('VARs') and OEMs.
