Precision Drilling Corp is incorporated under the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. The Company is an oilfield services company and provider of oil and natural gas drilling and drilling-related services and products. The Company specializes in providing onshore drilling services in major conventional and unconventional oil and natural gas basins in Canada and the United States. It also provides well servicing and ancillary wellsite products and services in Canada and the U.S. The Company operates in two segments: Contract Drilling Services and Completion and Production Services. The Contract Drilling Services segment provides onshore well drilling services to exploration and production companies in the oil and natural gas industry. It includes services such as land drilling services, directional drilling services, procurement and distribution of oilfield supplies and the manufacture and refurbishment of drilling and service rig equipment, turnkey drilling services, trucking services for moving precision rigs. . The segment consists of 321 land drilling rigs The Completion and Production Services segment comprises of a number of businesses providing completion and workover services and ancillary services to oil and natural gas exploration and production companies primarily in Canada, with a growing presence in the U.S. It includes services such as service rigs, snubbing units, coil tubing units, camp and catering services, oilfield surface equipment rental, wellsite accommodations and water system services. The segment consists of 190 service rigs, 19 snubbing units and 5 coil tubing units. The Company's operations are affected by numerous laws, regulations and guidelines relating to the protection of the environment and health and safety, including those governing the management, transportation and disposal of hazardous substances and other waste materials.
