Peoples Bancorp Inc (Marietta OH) is an Ohio corporation organized in 1980. The Company is a financial holding company and operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Peoples Bank, National Association. The Company makes available a line of banking, investment, insurance and trust solutions through its financial units - Peoples Bank and Peoples Insurance. Its products and services are; various demand deposit accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts and certificates of deposit; commercial, consumer and real estate mortgage loans both commercial and residential, and lines of credit; debit and automated teller machine cards; corporate and personal trust services; safe deposit rental facilities; money orders and cashier's checks; full range of life, health and property and casualty insurance products; and custom-tailored fiduciary and wealth management services. Its financial products and services are offered through its financial service locations and ATMs in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, as well as telephone and internet-based banking through both personal computers and mobile devices. It also makes available of credit cards to consumers and businesses, as well as merchant credit card processing services, through joint marketing arrangements with third parties. The Company originates various types of loans, including commercial and commercial real estate loans, real estate construction loans, residential real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, and consumer loans. It competes on client service, convenience and responsiveness to customer needs, available products, rates of interest on loans and deposits, and the availability and pricing of trust, brokerage and insurance services. The company together with its subsidiaries is subject to extensive supervision and regulation by federal and state agencies.
