SandRidge Permian Trust is a statutory trust formed on May 12, 2011 under the Delaware Statutory Trust Act. It earns royalty interests in specified oil and natural gas properties in the Permian Basin located in Andrews County, Texas and the equivalent of approximately 888 oil and natural gas development wells to be drilled within an area of mutual interest. The Company together with its subsidiaries also owns and operates gas gathering and processing facilities and conduct marketing operations. It focuses its explorations and productions activities in the Mid-Continent region of the United States. The Company competes with oil and gas companies, independent oil and gas companies, and individual producers and operators in Permian Basin. The oil and natural gas industry is extensively regulated by numerous federal, state, local and regional authorities, as well as Native American tribes.
