Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc., a Delaware corporation incorporated in December of 1990. The Company is an environmental and technology know-how company. The Company provides treatment, storage, processing and disposal of mixed waste, which is waste that contains both low-level radioactive and hazardous waste, non-nuclear hazardous waste, nuclear low level, and higher activity radioactive wastes; research and development activities to identify, develop and implement waste processing techniques for problematic waste streams; on-site waste management services to commercial and government customers; technical services which includes; health physics and radiological control technician services; safety and industrial hygiene services; staff augmentation services providing consulting, engineering, project management, waste management, environmental, and decontamination and decommissioning field personal, technical personnel, and management and services to commercial and government customers; and consulting engineering services including air, water, and hazardous waste permitting, air, soil, and water sampling, compliance reporting, emission reduction strategies, compliance auditing, and various compliance and training activities; nuclear services which includes: technology-based services including engineering, decontamination and decommissioning, specialty services and construction, logistics, transportation, processing and disposal and remediation of nuclear licensed and federal facilities and the remediation cleanup of nuclear legacy sites; and instrumentation and measurement technologies. It service research institutions, commercial companies, public utilities, and governmental agencies in various regions, including the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Defense. The distribution channels for its services are through direct sales to customers or via intermediaries. The Company operates its business in two reportable segments; Treatment and Services. Its Treatment segment includes; nuclear, low-level radioactive, mixed, hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment, processing and disposal services primarily through four uniquely licensed, Nuclear Regulatory Commission or state equivalent, and permitted Environmental Protection Agency or state equivalent. The presence of nuclear and low-level radioactive constituents within the waste streams processed by this segment creates different operational, processing and permitting/licensing requirements. Its Services segment includes on-site waste management services to commercial and government customers; Technical services such as professional radiological measurement and site survey of large government and commercial installations using advanced methods, technology and engineering; integrated Occupational Safety and Health services including industrial hygiene assessments; hazardous materials surveys; health & safety plan/program development; A Company owned equipment
