Subscription revenue is derived from a subscription-based enterprise licensing model with contract terms typically ranging from one to three years, and consists of subscription fees from the licensing of security-as-a-service platform; subscription fees for access to the on-demand elements of its platform; and subscription fees for the right to access customer support services. Its solutions are used by customers worldwide, It markets and sells its solutions worldwide both directly through sales teams and indirectly through a hybrid model where the sales organization actively assists its network of distributors and resellers. The Company also distributes its solutions through strategic partners including International Business Machines Corp., Microsoft Corporation and VMware, Inc. 'proofpoint' is its registered trademark in the United States, and the Proofpoint logo and all of its product names are trademarks.
