The Company is a specialty financial services firm with a comprehensive mortgage platform and integrated business. The Company is engaged in the production and servicing of U.S. residential mortgage loans and the management of investments related to U.S. residential mortgage markets. The Company conducts its business in two segments: mortgage banking and investment management. Its mortgage banking segment competes with large financial institutions and with other independent residential mortgage loan produces and servicers, including Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citigroup.
