Petroleum Geo-Services ASA provides oilfield services to marine and onshore operators and is organized into four business units namely: marine contract, multiclient, operations, and imaging & engineering.

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA was incorporated in 1992. The Company is an oilfield service company that provides geophysical services. The Company offers geophysical and reservoir services, such as seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and field evaluation. The Company operates in two segments, Marine and Onshore. The Marine segment provides streamer seismic data acquisition, marine MultiClient library, data processing, reservoir and technology consulting services. The Onshore segment provides seismic operations on land and shallow water. The two operating segments are further divided into the operating units: Marine Geophysical, Onshore Geophysical, and Production. The Company also offers reservoir consulting. The Company's MultiClient 3D survey covers 300 offshore continental shelf deepwater blocks. The Company owns 20 offshore vessels, 10 onshore crew, and 23 data processing centers. The Company sells its services to independent and state-owned oil companies in more than 30 countries. The Company has regional centers in London, Houston, and Singapore.
