The Company is in the business of design, manufacture and sale of snow and ice control equipment for light trucks, which is comprised of snowplows and sand and salt spreaders, and related parts and accessories. It sell its products under the WESTERN, FISHER and BLIZZARD brands which are among the most established and recognized in the industry. It operates as a single segment. It offers the broadest and most complete product line of snowplows and sand and salt spreaders for light trucks in the U.S. and Canadian markets. It also provides a full range of related parts and accessories, which generates an ancillary revenue stream throughout the lifecycle of its snow and ice control equipment. The Company sells its products through a distributor network primarily to professional snowplowers who are contracted to remove snow and ice from commercial, municipal and residential areas. The Company's logos are trademarks are 'WESTERN', 'FISHER' and 'BLIZZARD'. The Company mainly competes with regional manufacturers of snow and ice control equipment for light trucks. Its main competitors include Northern Star Industries, Inc. and Meyer Products LLC. The Company's operations are subject to certain federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to, among other things, the generation, storage, handling, emission, transportation, disposal and discharge of hazardous and non-hazardous substances and materials into the environment, the manufacturing of motor vehicle accessories and employee health and safety.
