Business Description

PrimeEnergy Corporation is engaged in the oil and gas business through the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas. Its properties are located mainly in the Southern U.S. The company, through its subsidiaries Prime Operating Company, Southwest Oilfield Construction Company, Eastern Oil Well Service Company and EOWS Midland Company, acts as operator and provides well servicing support operations for many of the onshore oil and gas wells in which the company has an interest, as well as for third parties. The company owns and operates properties in the Gulf of Mexico through its subsidiary Prime Offshore L.L.C., formerly F-W Oil Exploration L.L.C. It is also active in the acquisition of producing oil and gas properties through joint ventures with industry partners. The company's subsidiary, PrimeEnergy Management Corporation acts as the managing general partner of oil and gas limited partnerships and acts as the managing trustee of two asset and income business trusts. The company operates wells according to operating agreements which govern the relationship between the company as operator and the other owners of working interests in the properties, including the Partnerships, Trusts and joint venture participants.
