It is a holding company that conducts business currently through two main operating subsidiaries, Primus Financial Products, LLC (Primus Financial), a credit derivative product Company (CDPC), and Primus Asset Management, Inc. It currently manages the credit swap and cash investment portfolios of its affiliate, Primus Financial. Primus Asset Management also manages two collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). It competes with banks, insurance companies and investment managers, including hedge funds. The Company's operations might become subject to increased regulation under U.S. federal and state law or existing regulations.
