PSB Holdings Inc is a federally chartered holding company formed on May 27, 2003. Putnam Bank was founded in 1862 as a state-chartered mutual savings bank. In October 2004, the bank converted to a federally chartered stock savings bank in connection with the offering of common stock by the Company. The Companys business includes attracting deposits from the general public in Windham County and New London County, Connecticut and investing deposits, together with funds generated from operations, in one- to four-family residential mortgage loans and, to a lesser extent, commercial real estate loans (including multi-family real estate loans), commercial loans, construction mortgage loans and consumer loans, and in investment securities. The Company faces intense competition within its market area in making loans and attracting deposits.
