QAD Inc was incorporated in California in 1986. The Company is a provider of enterprise software solutions for manufacturers. The Company delivers its solutions both in the cloud and on-premise. It provides ongoing support to its customers which ensure they have access to the latest features of its software. It provides professional services to assist customers in deploying, upgrading and optimizing its software so they can maximize the benefit they receive from its solutions in their operating environment. The Company provides its solutions to manufacturing companies in the automotive, consumer products, food and beverage, high technology, industrial products and life sciences industries. More than 2,000 manufacturing companies use its solutions in their businesses. At the core of its solutions is the Companys enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite called QAD Enterprise Applications or MFG/PRO. It ERP suite is also deployed in the cloud as QAD Cloud ERP. QAD Enterprise Applications supports the core business processes of its manufacturing customers, including key functions in the following areas: financials, customer management, manufacturing, demand and supply chain planning, supply chain execution, service and support, enterprise asset management, enterprise quality management, transportation management, analytics, and interoperability. The Company delivers its core ERP offering and many other solutions in the cloud, charging a subscription fee for access to these software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. The Company refers to these solutions collectively as components of the QAD Enterprise Cloud. Within the QAD Enterprise Cloud it has QAD Cloud Apps, QAD Cloud Services and the QAD Cloud Portal. Its solutions include QAD Enterprise Applications, QAD Financials, QAD Customer Management, QAD Demand and Supply Chain Planning and QAD Service and Support. The Company faces competition from SAP, Oracle, Infor among others.
