Rubicon Minerals Corp was incorporated on March 4, 1996 under the Company Act of British Columbia and was transitioned on June 23, 2005 under the Business Corporations Act of British Columbia. It is a mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of gold and base-metal exploration properties both through Company-funded and partner-funded exploration. The Company is also involved in the investment in other mineral exploration and resource companies. The Company controls over 65,000 acres of exploration ground in the Red Lake gold camp, in the province of Ontario. At present, the Company's main focus is on advanced exploration and development of its 100% owned Phoenix Gold Property. The Company also controls land packages in Nevada and Utah, United States. The Company's properties are affected to varying degrees by government regulations relating to such matters as environmental protection, health, safety and labor mining law reform, restrictions on production, price controls, and tax increases; maintenance of claims; tenure; and expropriation of property.
