REX American Resources Corp was incorporated in Delaware in 1984 as a holding company to succeed to the entire ownership of three affiliated corporations, Rex Radio and Television, Inc., Stereo Town, Inc. and Kelly & Cohen Appliances, Inc. The Company, through its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of ethanol. It operates in two segments: Alternative Energy and Real Estate. The Alternative Energy segment engages in the production of ethanol, and dried and modified distillers grains. Its dry distiller grains with solubles are used as proteins in animal feed. The Real Estate segment is involved in leasing real estate properties.
