Radisys Corporation was incorporated in March 1987 under the laws of the State of Oregon for the purpose of being a provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions for telecom, aerospace, defense and public safety applications. The Company's market-leading Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture ('ATCA'), Internet Protocol ('IP') Media Server, Computer-on-Module ("COM") Express, Rackmount Server platforms, and world-renowned Trillium software coupled with an expert professional services organization and market expertise enable customers to bring high-value products and services to market faster with lower investment and risk. The Company has been the first to market with technological advancements such as the industry's first 10-Gigabit common managed platform, and specializes in areas such as IP conferencing and COM Express new product development. Its design capabilities extend to CPUs, NPUs, digital signal processing and integrated software managed platforms, such as media and application servers, as well as many other areas. The Company designs and manufactures a range of products at different levels of integration: complete application-ready platforms for communications networking such as 10G (Gigabit) ATCA platforms and carrier grade media servers (Media Servers); embedded subsystems and functional platforms using ATCA, COM Express and customer-specific proprietary platforms; compute, input/output (I/O), storage, inter-networking media processing and packet processing solutions; and software and firmware specific to the aforementioned hardware that includes intelligent platform management interface (IPMI) and hardware platform interface (HPI) for platform management. The Company's customers include: Agilent Technologies, Alcatel Lucent, Arrow Electronics, Aspect Telecom, Avaya, Bigband Networks, British Telecom, Cisco Systems, Comverse Network Systems - a division of Comverse Technology, Danaher, Fujitsu, G.E. Healthcare, Huawei Technologies Co., IBM, IP Access, Italtel, Kineto Wireless, Miltope, Mindray, NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortel Networks (Nortel), Philips Healthcare, Siemens Medical, and Universal Instruments, West Corporation, and ZTE. The Company's products are sold through a variety of channels, including direct sales, distributors and sales representatives.
