Scholastic Corp is a children's publishing, education and media company. The Company also provides educational technology products, related services and children's media.

Scholastic Corp was founded in 1920. It is a children's publishing, education and media company. The Company publishes and distributes children's books and provides print and digital instructional materials for pre-K to grade 12, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media. It creates quality books and ebooks, educational materials and programs, classroom magazines and other products that, in combination, offer schools customized and comprehensive solutions to support children's learning both at school and at home. It has emphasized quality products and a dedication to reading and learning. The Company is the operator of school-based book clubs and book fairs in the United States. It distributes its products and services through these proprietary channels, as well as directly to schools and libraries, through retail stores and through the internet. The Company segment includes Children's Book Publishing and Distribution, Education, International. It has operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, China, Singapore and other parts of Asia. The Company's products include non-fiction and fiction books published in the United States under the imprints Children's Press and Franklin Watts. Its Competition includes markets for children's books, educational products and entertainment materials. SCHOLASTIC is a trademark registered in the United States.
