SoftBank Group Corp along with its subsidiaries provides mobile telecommunication services, sale of mobile handsets and accessories, fixed-line telecommunication services, internet-based advertising and data and broadband services.

SoftBank Group Corp was incorporated in Japan on September 3, 1981. The Company changed its name from Softbank Corp to SoftBank Group Corp on July 1, 2015. The Company along with its subsidiaries provides mobile telecommunication service, sale of mobile handsets and accessories, fixed-line telecommunication services, Internet-based advertising and data and broadband services. The Company operates in segments including Mobile Communications segment, the Sprint segment, the Fixed-line Telecommunications segment and the Internet segment. The Mobile Communications segment through SoftBank Mobile Corp., mobile communication services, and sale of mobile handsets and accessories. The Sprint segment provides mobile communication services, sale of mobile handsets and accessories accompanying the mobile communication services, and the fixed-line telecommunication services in the U.S. The Fixed-line Telecommunications segment provides telecommunication services such as data communication and fixed-line telephone service for corporate customers and provides broadband service for individual customers. The Internet segment through Yahoo Japan Corporation, engages in Internet-based advertising operations. It is subject to various laws and regulations pertaining to general corporate business activities, as well as laws and regulations governing specific business operations, such as the Telecommunications Business Act and Radio Act in the telecommunications business.
