Silicon Laboratories Inc designs and develops proprietary, analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits for a range of applications.

Silicon Laboratories Inc was incorporated in Delaware on August 19, 1996. The Company is engaged in providing silicon, software and solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet infrastructure, industrial control, consumer and automotive markets. The Company groups its products into categories including Internet of Things products, which includes microcontroller (MCU), wireless, sensor and analog products; Broadcast products, which includes broadcast consumer and automotive products; Infrastructure products, which includes timing products (clocks and oscillators), and isolation devices; and Access products, which includes VoIP products, embedded modems and PoE devices. Mixed-signal ICs are electronic components that convert real-world analog signals, such as sound and radio waves, into digital signals that electronic products can process. The Company provides analog-intensive, mixed-signal solutions for use in electronic products in applications for the IoT market including connected home, smart lighting, security, wearables and smart energy applications. It also supplies wireless connectivity solutions for the IoT based on Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, Wi-Fi and sub-GHz technologies. The Company provides timing and isolation products for infrastructure applications including high-performance clocks and oscillators for networking equipment, data centers and wireless base stations, as well as digital isolators and current sensors for industrial power supplies, motor control, solar inverters and hybrid-electric vehicles. It also provides broadcast products including TV tuners and demodulators and automotive radio tuners, and access products including subscriber line interface circuits for voice over IP (VoIP), embedded modems, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) power source equipment and powered device ICs. The Company operates in geographical regions including United States, China and Rest of world. The Company's customers include Chamberlain, Cisco, Harman Becker, Huawei, LG Electronics, Samsung, Technicolor, Technisat, Varian Medical Systems and ZTE. The Company faces competition from competitors including Analog Devices, Atmel, Conexant, Cypress, IDT, Intel, Marvell Technology Group, Maxim Integrated Products, MaxLinear, Microchip, Microsemi, Nordic Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors, Qualcomm, Renesas, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Vectron International and others. The Company is subject to federal, state and local regulations, environmental controls on the storage, use, discharge and disposal of certain chemicals and gases used in the semiconductor industry.
