Sun Bancorp, Inc., is a New Jersey corporation. The Company serves as a holding Company for Sun National Bank. It provides a comprehensive array of commercial and consumer banking services. As of December 31, 2012, the Company had 62 locations throughout New Jersey. The Company's lending services to businesses include term loans and lines of credit, mortgage loans, construction loans and equipment leasing. The Company is a Preferred Lender with both the Small Business Administration ('SBA') and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. Its commercial deposit services include business checking accounts and cash management services such as electronic banking, sweep accounts, lockbox services, internet banking, remote deposit and controlled disbursement services. The Company's lending services to consumers include residential mortgage loans, residential construction loans, second mortgage loans, home equity loans and installment loans. Its consumer deposit services include checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts. In addition, the Company offers mutual funds, securities brokerage, annuities and investment advisory services. The Company faces competition for deposits from other insured financial institutions such as commercial banks, thrift institutions, credit unions, and multi-state regional and money center banks in the Company's market area. Competition for funds also includes a number of insurance products sold by local agents and investment products such as mutual funds and other securities sold by local and regional brokers. As a registered bank holding Company, the Company is subject to the supervision and regulation of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
