StarTek, Inc., is incorporated in the state of Delaware and founded in 1987. The Company is a provider of business process outsourcing services to the communications industry. It manages its programs using a variety of multi-channel customer interaction capabilities including voice, chat, email, IVR and back-office support. It has delivery centers in the U.S., Philippines, Canada, Costa Rica, Honduras and through its StarTek@Home workforce. The Company operates within three business segments: Domestic, Asia Pacific and Latin America. As of December 31, 2012, its Domestic segment included the operations of five facilities in the United States and two facilities in Canada; its Asia Pacific segment included the operations of two facilities in the Philippines; and Latin America segment included the operations of one facility in Costa Rica and one facility in Honduras. It provides customer experience management throughout the life cycle of its clients' customers. These service offerings include customer care, sales support, inbound sales, complex order processing, accounts receivable management, technical and product support, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities and other industry-specific processes. The Company provides these services by leveraging technology, agent performance tools, analytics and self-service applications to enable and empower its Brand Warriors. Its technical and product support service offering provides its clients' customers with high-end technical support services by telephone, e-mail, chat, facsimile and the internet, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Company provides service to clients from its locations in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific. It competes with a number of companies that provide similar services on an outsourced basis, including business process outsourcing companies. The Company is subject to numerous federal, state, and local laws in the states and territories in which it operate, including tax, environmental and other laws that govern the way it conducts its business.
