Sasol Ltd is an international integrated energy and chemicals company. It develops and commercializes technologies, and builds and operates facilities, to produce product streams, including liquid fuels, high-value chemicals and low-carbon electricity.

Sasol Ltd was incorporated under the laws of the Republic of South Africa in 1979. The Company is an integrated chemicals and energy company. It develops and commercializes technologies, and builds and operates world-scale facilities, to produce product streams, including liquid fuels, chemicals and low-carbon electricity. The Company's operating model consists of operating business units, regional operating hubs, strategic business units, and group functions. The Operating Business Units comprise its mining and upstream oil and gas activities, focusing mainly on securing feedstock supply. Mining is responsible for securing coal feedstock for the Southern African value chain, mainly for gasification, but also to generate electricity and steam. Exploration and Production International (E&PI) develops and manages the group's upstream interests in oil and gas exploration and production in Mozambique, Canada Gabon, South Africa and Australia. It produces natural gas and condensate from Mozambique's Pande and Temane fields, shale gas and condensate from its share in the Farrell Creek and Cypress A assets in Canada, and oil in Gabon through its share in the offshore Etame Marin Permit (EMP). The Regional Operating Hubs include the Company's operations in Southern Africa, United States and Eurasia, focusing on sustaining asset management and performance while delivering to plan and optimizing the total cost of production. The Strategic Business Units focus on its commercial and enhanced customer interfaces within the energy and chemicals arenas, and on optimizing business performance through marketing and sales excellence. Energy is responsible for the sales and marketing of liquid fuels, natural gas and electricity. It also develops, implement and manage international GTL businesses based on its proprietary technology. Base Chemicals markets commodity chemicals based on the group's upstream Fischer-Tropsch, ethylene, propylene and ammonia value chains. Its key product lines are polymers, solvents and ammonia-based explosives and fertilisers. Performance Chemicals markets commodity and differentiated performance chemicals. Its key product lines are organics, inorganics and wax value chains. The Company's chemical production facilities are located in developed countries, including the United States and various European countries.
