Sunshine Financial Inc is a Maryland corporation. The Company is a stock holding company for its wholly owned subsidiary, Sunshine Savings Bank. The Company's principal business consists of attracting retail deposits from the general public and investing those funds in loans secured by first and second mortgages on one- to four-family residences (including residential construction loans), lot loans, commercial real estate loans and consumer loans. It offers a variety of secured and unsecured consumer loan products, including home equity, direct and indirect automobile loans and credit card loans in its market area. The Company's main competitors include savings institutions, commercial banks, credit unions, life insurance companies and mortgage bankers. The Bank is subject to various regulatory capital requirements administered by the federal banking agencies.
