Silver Standard Resources Inc was incorporated under the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada on December 11, 1946. The Company together with its subsidiaries is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of silver-dominant resource properties located in America. It is a silver resource company that has assembled a portfolio of silver dominant projects. The Company is engaged in operating and producing silver from Pirquitas Mine, and on advancing other mineral projects and project pipeline. Certain of its projects also contain gold resources. Its properties are located in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru and the United States. The projects of the company include Pitarrilla in Mexico and San Luis in Peru. In addition to its projects, the Company holds a geologically-diverse portfolio of other predominantly silver projects in various stages of exploration or technical evaluation.
