Seaspan Corp is a Marshall Islands corporation, incorporated on May 3, 2005. The Company is an owner of containerships and it charters them pursuant to long-term, fixed-rate time charters to major container liner companies. It owns and operates a fleet of approximately 69 containerships and has entered into contracts for the purchase of an additional eight newbuilding containerships and two existing containerships. Customers for its current operating fleet are COSCON, CSAV, CSCL Asia, HL USA, Hapag-Lloyd, K-Line, MSC and MOL. Customers for the additional 16 newbuilding containerships are Hanjin, MOL and Yang Ming Marine.
