Strayer Education Inc provides post-secondary education services for working adults. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields including business administration, accounting, information technology, and health services administration.

Strayer Education Inc was founded in 1892. The Company through its wholly-owned subsidiaries provides post-secondary education services for working adults. The Company offers a range of academic programs through its wholly owned subsidiary Strayer University and the New York Code and Design Academy. Strayer University is an institution of higher learning that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business administration, accounting, information technology, education, health services administration, nursing, public administration, and criminal justice at 76 physical campuses, predominantly located in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions of the United States, and online. Strayer University also offers an executive MBA online through its Jack Welch Management Institute. By offering its programs both online and in physical classrooms, the University provides its working adult students more flexibility and convenience. The New York Code and Design Academy provides non-degree courses in web and application software development, at its campus in New York City. NYCDA is licensed by the New York Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision, but is not accredited and does not participate in state or federal student financial aid programs. It faces competition from various nontraditional, credit-bearing and noncredit-bearing education programs, provided by both proprietary and not-for-profit providers, including massive open online courses offered without charge by traditional educational institutions and other direct-to-consumer education services. As an institution of higher education accredited by Middle States and operating in multiple jurisdictions, Strayer University is subject to accreditation rules and varying state licensing and regulatory requirements.
