Business Description

Strattec Security Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets mechanical locks, electro-mechanical locks, latches and related security/access control products for major North American and global automotive manufacturers. The company also supplies keys and lock repair components to the aftermarket through its distributor network and through relationships with organizations supporting the dealerships and retail channels. The company's traditional products are locks and keys for cars and light trucks. A relatively new and growing product line for the company is ignition lock housings. It is also developing business for additional access control products, including trunk latches, liftgate latches, tailgate latches, hood latches, side door latches and related hardware for this product category. The company is a direct supplier to car and light truck manufacturers as well as other transportation-related manufacturers.
