Business Description

Swedbank AB provides financial services to individuals, corporations, and government and non-government organizations. It is one of the largest banking corporations in Sweden. The bank's corporate banking services include currency exchange, credit facilities, corporate and trade finance, custody, asset management, life and pension, acquisition financing, cash management, and brokerage. The bank offers lending in the form of loans and mortgages. Swedbank also offers savings and investing, payment, private banking, financial planning, and investment advice. The bank also operates through over 80 independent locally owned banks which offer all the services of Swedbank but are not under its ownership. The bank holds offices in Sweden, the Baltic countries, and Ukraine. In Sweden alone, the bank has approximately 4.1 million customers and 750 branch locations. The bank acquired investment opportunities through its buying of ZAO OKO Capital Vostok, OKO Bank of Finland, and D. Carnegie & Co AB.. It also provides its services to Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United States, China, Spain, Luxembourg, and Japan.
