Stock Yards Bancorp Inc is a Kentucky corporation, was incorporated in 1988. The Bancorp is a bank holding company for Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, referred as the Bank. Bancorp has no significant operations of its own and the business is that of the Bank. Its operations are aggregated in two reportable operating segments: commercial banking and investment management and trust. Through the Bank, Bancorp provides commercial and personal banking services in the Louisville, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan markets through 34 service banking offices. The Bank also originates and sells single-family residential mortgages. Additionally, the Bank offers securities brokerage services in the name of Stock Yards Financial Services through a third party broker-dealer. The Bank's correspondent banking department offers holding company loans and lines of credit, deposit services, international services, investment management and trust services and other services to community banks across Kentucky and southern Indiana. Bancorp is subject to the supervision of and regulation by the Federal Reserve Board under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956. In addition, Bancorp is subject to the provisions of Kentucky's banking laws regulating bank acquisitions and certain activities of controlling bank shareholders. In addition, the Bank is subject to the supervision of the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Further, the Bancorp is subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.
