TravelCenters of America LLC is a limited liability company formed under Delaware law on October 10, 2006. The Company operates and franchises travel center and convenience store locations. Its customers include trucking fleets and their drivers, independent truck drivers and motorists. Its products and services include diesel fuel and gasoline, truck repair and maintenance services, full service restaurants, more than 35 different brands of quick serve restaurants, or QSRs, travel stores and various driver amenities. Some of its locations include gaming operations. As of December 31, 2014, its travel center business included 250 travel centers located in 43 states in the U.S., along the U.S. interstate highway system, and the province of Ontario, Canada. Its travel centers included 174 operated under the "TravelCenters of America," "TA" or related brand names, or the TA brand, including 156 that it operated and 16 that franchisees operated, and 75 that were operated under the "Petro Stopping Centers" and "Petro" brand names, or the Petro brand, including 62 that it operated and 14 that franchisees operated. Of its 250 travel centers at December 31, 2014, it owned 37, it leased or managed 188, including 183 that it leased from HPT, and franchisees owned, or leased from others, 25. It subleases to franchisees five of the travel centers it leases from HPT.
