Technicolor was formed on August 24, 1985. The Company provides a range of video technologies, systems, finished products and services to the Media & Entertainment ('M&E') industry. Its activities are organized into three operating divisions, namely Technology, Entertainment Services, Connected Home. Technology division develops, protects and monetizes technology, mainly through the licensing of Technicolor's Intellectual Property. The Entertainment Services mainly develops and offers creative services for the global Media & Entertainment industry as well as services related to the manufacturing and distribution of Blu-rayTM and DVDs for studio clients. In Creative Services, Technicolor has been developing new technology solutions to support the transition of its customers to digital and has been managing its digital creative services business to capture growth opportunities, while limiting exposure to fast declining legacy activities.
