Tronox Ltd was formed on September 21, 2011. The Company is a public limited company registered under the laws of the State of Western Australia, Australia. The Company is engaged in the production and marketing of titanium bearing mineral sands and titanium dioxide pigment. Its TiO2 products are critical components of everyday applications such as paint and other coatings, plastics, paper and other applications. The Company has ave two reportable operating segments, Mineral Sands and Pigment. Additionally, its corporate activities include electrolytic manufacturing and marketing operations. The Company's mineral sands business consists primarily of three product streams; titanium feedstock, zircon and pig iron. Titanium feedstock is primarily used to manufacture TiO2. Zircon, a hard, glossy mineral, is used for the manufacture of ceramics, refractories, TV screen glass and a range of other industrial and chemical products. Pig iron is a metal material used in the steel and metal casting industries to create wrought iron, cast iron and steel. The Company has operations in North America, Europe, South Africa and Australia. The Company and its facilities and its operations are subject to general and industry-specific environmental, health and safety regulations in South Africa and Australia.
